week 11/52: fancy lights
Thursday, March 16, 2017
Last week, I posted about eating at this dainty Vietnamese cafe in Richmond. I was so amazed at their interior that I went to town taking instax photos of the place with my Mini 90. This, of course, is one of them.
The place had high ceilings and they have (from what I remember) two pairs of lanterns hanging. One pair was all white and the other was the photo above. Nick just took a photo of this one as this looks more interesting. We didn't want the flash turned on for this as we didn't want it washing out or interfering with its light. This means we had the instax on a normal mode so we could turn the flash off. If we used the party mode, which is best in indoor low light situations, we wouldn't have the option of turning the flash off (we did use it on one shot that I'll share in the next post so you could see the difference).
If you're wondering, this was taken with the camera turned on its side and Nick was almost directly underneath them to the side.
More instax photos from this place next week. Tune in!
