Life's been pretty hectic lately - it's summer and we're all trying to get the most out of the sun before we hibernate in fall and winter months. We've been traveling to places - Seattle, Whistler, Vegas, Ladner (blueberry picking), Spanish Banks Beach, Allouette Lake (best lake in BC!), and in between, getting settled into a new lifestyle, and partying and hanging out with family and friends. And though it's hectic and leaves me exhausted almost exhausted everyday, life's been good. It could be better with a few changes but looking at where we are now, even with the current circumstance, we're pretty blessed. And that, I am always thankful to God for. :)
I am a little bit displeased with myself though - not for anything life-changing - it's just occurred to me that I haven't introduced my little boybun! My friends and family have seen him all over Facebook, of course, but how dare I forget to mention him here? He's been my little bundle of joy and cuddles ever since having him in my life - my silly bun Casper! Got him late October last year and he's now a year old - birth month is August.
He's so precious to me! ♥
And they've met and have become friends now. Casper calls him his Dadee! Love them both!
Casper is getting close with Nick now that he sees him around our little place most of the time. And Nick has been making an effort to hang and play with him whenever he can. Oh, how my heart beats when I see them together. I would post pictures of them together but Nick has specifically forbidden me from doing such, he says he doesn't look good in any of them. What a vain boyfriend I have, I tell you!
Nick's vain (haha!) but he's good - at least that's what I got from meeting and becoming friends with his friend as well. Tell me who your friends are and I'll tell you who you are, right? They're a bunch of good party people, and very friendly and welcoming.
He's got a big group of friends he usually parties with and there's always at least ten of them hanging out every now and then for drinks and laughter. And just recently, one of his friends personally invited me to come out to downtown for drinks with them. Jaime, such a sweet (gay) man.
Anyway, since summer is all about having fun in the sun and partying (with lots of Filipino food!), we make it a point to sweat and work the food off at the gym. And Nick has recently started training me in boxing. He even got me one of the good and pricey boxing gloves - Hayabusa.
Yep, read that right. This little girl is boxing. How badass, right? If only I could really say that! Most of the time, I lose my balance and and in our first few sessions, my punches were so powerless, it's ridiculous! But though I'm getting annoyed at him at times during training, Nick continues to be patient and refuses to give up on me, believing in my ability to go on even if I don't. So weeks later, his wrists actually get hurt and sore from my punches. Yay me!
We've also taken to doing another form of exercise - TRX. And oh boy are they hard! We always die after a TRX workout! It's not a piece of cake! We thought it won't be that bad since you're using your own weight and boy were we wrong! Hanging on to these ropes will take all your power and effort, every ounce of it. Haha! But I'm sure it'll be worth it in the end. We'll see, as I haven't seen much of a result yet. I hope it's coming, though!
At this point, we like our life together. We party, we have fun, we workout, we do groceries, we cook, we watch movies and animes together, we play together. Well yeah, pretty much doing and experiencing life together. It's great and I always thank God that we've finally found each other. So I'm gonna end this post off with a very cheesy picture. If you're bitter, you'll roll your eyes out and gag. Haha!
Keep livin' happy! ♥
