week 6/52: a little parish
Friday, February 10, 2017
We've been experiencing heavy snowfall since last week, resulting in my house claiming me. I have become one with my house at the moment and refuse to leave its warmth and comfort. I'm a terrible driver in the snow, that much I'd admit, and deathly scared of black ice on the roads as I've experienced doing an unintentional donut. Not an experience I'd like to have again, thank you over much.
So this week's photo was from last week's trip to the park. It did not turn out good. It's a disappointing waste of film but hey, I learned that I should've made use of the lighten and darken feature of the Mini 90. You'd think it's common sense to actually use the darker mode since everything's blanketed in white already but no, apparently, I lack that common sense as well. I'm really beating myself out for this because I had this picture in my mind that I wanted to capture. Another mistake was taking the camera away as soon as I hit the shutter. If I stayed still for a couple of seconds more, I probably would've gotten a clearer shot. Or I probably was too far from that snow-covered parish. I don't remember if I actually put it on landscape mode as well.
Oh well, let's try another time. After all, setting the instax Mini 90 right according to its surrounding is crucial in getting that almost perfect shot.
